Wayne County Assistive Technology Resource Center (ATRC) is available for Assistive Technology support to local districts within the Downriver/Dearborn and Western Regions of Wayne County.
ATRC services include:
- Assistive Technology integration in curriculum.
- Literacy and curriculum support.
- Augmentative communication support.
- Environmental adaptations: switch selection, mounting, etc.
- Resource information pertaining to product availability and capabilities.
- Assistive Technology integration in vocational programs.
- Support to implement RESA’s Assistive Technology Guidelines.
- Lending Library access: adaptive devices, software, curriculum support materials, books and educational videos.

Assistive Technology support to school teams with assessment, classroom applications and staff training is available upon request. Equipment and materials may be checked out for a six-week trial period. Extensions are possible depending on availability. Long term loans may be available on an individual basis.
