Annapolis High School serves approximately 900 students in grades 9 – 12. There are forty-three teaching staff members. In addition, there are the following support staff: Dean of Students, counselors, school psychologist, social worker, visually impaired consultant, bilingual consultant, and speech and language therapist.
The school day consists of six hours of instruction and a multi-purpose period. Students may choose a wide range of electives from jazz band to mentor/teaching in an elementary reading program. Students also have the opportunity to take additional vocational classes through the career partnership with Crestwood and Robichaud High Schools.
Extra-curricular activities include numerous student organizations and athletics. Over fifty percent of the students participated in one or more extra-curricular activities. Daily attendance averages approximately 93% present.

Fifty-eight percent of AHS parents attended the fall parent/teacher conferences. The spring conferences were attended by forty-one percent. Parents are involved in a variety of school activities including: PTO; National Honor Society; Booster Clubs; School Improvement Committee; and as student organization assistants.

Retention/Drop-Out Rate
The 2004-05 retention rate is 96.85%, dropout rate is 3.15% and the graduation rate is 86.27% (2003-04).
Business Partnerships
AHS is fortunate to have several business partners that benefit our students. Detroit Veterans Hospital assists by housing our Health Occupations program, and many other local businesses assist through our co-op program.
