Instructional Media & Technology
Unprecedented access to information, rapidly evolving
technologies, and increasing global competition require students to
be able to multi-task, apply knowledge to new situations, think
critically, problem solve, and communicate globally. They must be
self-directed and creative in their ability to learn, unlearn, and
relearn.
RESA’s Instructional Media & Technology department supports
educators in promoting Information and Communication Technologies (ICT)
literacy. ICT literacy is the competency to appropriately use
digital technology and communication tools to access, manage,
integrate, and evaluate information, construct new knowledge, and
communicate with others in order to participate effectively in
society. By integrating ICT into the teaching and learning of core
subjects, teachers provide a 21st Century Learning environment that
promotes student achievement. No longer confined to a traditional
library, many of our rich, interactive resources are available to
you without having to come to RESA.
