Professional Development

RESA conducts extensive professional development programs for newly hired, novice and experienced classroom teachers in local districts. As an outgrowth of RESA’s Strategic School Development Action Plan, an in-house team is planning a coordinated approach to teacher development services. Our expanded professional development program will help teachers meet No Child Left Behind criteria for becoming “highly qualified.” Approximately 6,000 enrollees have successfully completed our New Teacher Summer Institutes, Teacher Renewal Evening Academies, targeted workshop series and hands-on technology training.
