Positive Behavior Support (PBS) includes a range of
research-based strategies aimed at increasing social competence,
academic achievement, and the prevention of problem behaviors for all
students. The goal of school-wide PBS is to increase the capacity of
schools and school districts to educate all students, but especially
those with challenging behaviors. This is done by establishing an
effective continuum of PBS systems and practices as part of a school’s
everyday operations.
