Guidelines For Book Distribution Program
The purpose of the Michigan Friends of Education, a 501©(3) Non-Profit organization, is to stimulate interest in readying for qualifying individuals. This program is intended to motivate children and adults to broaden their horizons, creating interest and a sense of anticipation in the selection of books that they may keep.
To receive books, free of charge, a "Request for Materials Form" must be completed, signed and submitted for approval. Agencies may apply for a Request Form by contacting our center directly. Specifically, these books are for qualifying individuals in, Head Start, Special Education, "At Risk", Adult/Alternative Education and Migrant/Bilingual Programs. They are also distributed to Nursing/Rest Homes and agencies that care for the ill and underprivileged. (i.e. Domestic Shelters, Community Health Centers, FIA's and other similar organizations.) If you have further questions on who may qualify, please contact Michigan Friends of Education for Clarification.
Books are selected solely by Michigan Friends of Education staff members, based upon the information received in the application for materials the inventory we have eon hand. Once your request is packed, our staff will contact your organization 1-2 days before delivery. We will make deliveries to first floor and loading docks.
A copy of your "Request Form" must be kept on files as proof of your distribution plan.

Dontations
In some cases we must pay for the transportation and/or shipping of materials to our warehouse, therefore donations are always appreciated.
