Development: The Van Buren Public School District website first went online October 8th, 1998. It was designed and maintained by Mr. Steve Wilson and a small group of very dedicated students in the Belleville High School Video Club. Their many hundreds of hours of volunteer time will always be greatly appreciated. Their efforts earned several awards, including the "EduNET's Choice" site award in January 1999 for providing and maintaining valuable educational content. In 2001 maintenance of the district website became the responsibility of Ms. Karin LaMothe, VBPS Communication Department. Many thanks to School Board member Martha Toth for the design of school templates. The Belleville High School website evolved into a web design class and was maintained by Mr. Don Borgerding and his web design students. In the Fall of 2003 responsibility for BHS "Student Academic" pages migrated to S. Kennedy while students in web design class and club maintain "Student Life." In October 2002 Ms. Susan A. Kennedy became the district web manager. Plans have been underway to develop local building webmasters and expand our web content. In August 2005 responsibility for the Belleville High School website and the BHS Media Center website migrated to Ms. Stephanie Halliday. Ms. Susan Kennedy continues to be responsible for the District web site and is developing the North Middle School Media Center site. |
