Accessibility Statement
Wayne Regional Educational Service Agency (Wayne RESA) is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually work to improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards to our websites and digital services.
Wayne RESA strives to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, consistent with guidance applicable to Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended. Accessibility is an ongoing process, and we regularly review digital content to identify and address accessibility barriers as standards, tools, and guidance evolve.
Wayne RESA provides information in alternate formats or with auxiliary aids and services upon request, when necessary to ensure effective communication. While we make commercially reasonable efforts to meet recognized accessibility standards, we do not warrant or guarantee that all content will be fully accessible under every interpretation of applicable accessibility laws, and some content may not yet fully conform to current standards.
To ensure compliance with the DOJ’s Final Rule on Web Accessibility (Title II), we are utilizing the Archived Web Content Exception for legacy materials. Per 28 CFR § 35.201, these materials are exempt from WCAG 2.1 AA technical standards because they were created prior to the compliance deadline, are maintained solely for historical research and recordkeeping, and are housed in a clearly designated, non-dynamic 'Archive' section of our domain.
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, have difficulty accessing any content, or need information in an alternative format (such as accessible PDFs, large print, or other accommodations), we welcome your feedback and encourage you to contact us so we can assist.
